As a newcomer in Kolding municipality, we want to give you an opportunity to experience the many cultural and leisure activites in the municipality. In our welcome brochure we offer you free tickets to an assortment of activities such as museums, cinemas and sports events.
You can pickup the welcome brochure at the City Hall in Kolding, the municipal Citizen Service or at the libraries in Kolding, Vamdrup, Christiansfeld and Lunderskov. You must bring the welcome letter that you received either digitally in your E-boks or physically by post.
As a newcomer, you can get a Rejsekort and travel for free on public transport with Sydtrafik for two months.
The Rejsekort is an electronic ticketing card that can be used across the different public transport operators. The free Rejsekort for newcomers is valid throughout Sydtrafik’s operational area, which stretches from the Danish/German border in the south to Varde, Billund and Vejle in the north. The card is valid for travel on all Sydtrafik buses and Arriva trains in the municipalities of Tønder, Esbjerg and Varde.
The card can be used by all members of the household, but only gives free travel to a single adult, who additionally can bring two children under the age of 12 for free. Please note that the card must be applied for within three months of moving to Kolding municipality.
